Wasatch Back on the St. George Running Center open women's team!! Super awesome and super exhausting. Did leg 9, so I had an easy first leg of 3.6 flat, then a difficult 9.6 of mostly flat with some rollers and ended on another difficult leg of 3.5 with almost 1500 feet in elevation gain. Eew. Ran pretty fast for my first leg, then ran ok-fast on the second and finished the third. I wanted to run the whole way up it, but a couple places it was faster to walk than to run, so I surrendered. Still, a fun experience overall with 45 point turns, near-death semi encounters, no sleep to speak of and protesting legs all around!

Looks like our teams were close. What time did you gals leave? running on no sleep has been my specialty now for over 20 months. It sure slows a person down!! Especially an uphill climb for the third leg!! Way to stay with it and succumb to the beast by walking, its actually faster then to walk "fast". I am sure you MORE than made up for you time on the first two legs SPEEDY!! I remember you from the Bryce Half right?

We started at 5 pm - way late, I wish we'd started earlier. And yeah, I did do the Bryce Half last year. What a fast and beautiful course!

Nice job! I wish we stayed to find out how our team did.
